New Features Update

In addition to the award winning capabilities Distribution Group Manager provides the following new features:

Support for auto-populated distribution groups: since the beginning of email it has been a pain to manually create lists of people to  distribute email. In larger organizations it can be impossible for people to keep up with all the staffing changes. Furthermore, once created, these lists are automatically updated as staffing changes occur. This capability can be used on a self-service basis for employees to build, manage, and update lists.

Support for Automated Expiration of Distribution Groups - Ensim Unify Exchange Manager now allows administrators to configure various maintenance criteria to automate the expiration of groups. Following expiration settings are available:

• Time-based: Administrators can set a time based expiry limit for automatic deletion of the group. For instance, in seven days, in thirty days, in a year, or on a specific date.
• Minimum number of group members: Administrators can now set a minimum membership limit for each group. Whenever the membership of the group falls below the specified limit, the system will mark the group for deletion during the next maintenance update.
• Last modified or used date: The users can also set the idle usage/modification time for the groups. The system deletes the groups if they are not used or modified within the specified time interval.

Support for Limitations on Group Size: administrators can establish the maximum number of people in a distribution group.  Now, the group administrators can limit the maximum number of allowed members of a Distribution Group and an Auto-populated Distribution Group. 

Dynamic Preview of Group Size and Members: users can now preview the members of a Dynamic Distribution Group prior to creating it, making it significantly easier and quicker to build a group of the appropriate size.

Support for Automated Group Naming Conventions: Administrators can allow use of multiple display names / email alias prefixes while creating a new Distribution Groups / Auto Populated Dynamic Distribution Groups and Dynamic Distribution Groups.
